Established by students of Mr Loo-Chi Hu in 1988, the T'ai Chi Ch'uan Association, is Christchurch based, with membership throughout NZ. The title "National" came about by affiliation with a T'ai Chi Society in Taiwan. We provide an annual workshop and The Newsletter (quarterly).
Our motivation is to bring people together and share in the unique opportunity to learn the ancient Taoist art of T'ai Chi Ch'uan.
Loo-chi Hu studied Yang style T'ai Chi Ch'uan in 1941 under Chen Wei-Ming, in Shanghai, China. Chen Wei Ming is a renowned student of Yang family third generation master Yang Chen-Fu.
